The joys of Technology!

Well, I'm up and running, sort of. At heart, I'm a gadget geek but the recent headaches have made me question that! But now, a new computer system and a eager return to Apple just might be the healing I need. In 1984 I owned an Apple IIE computer--one of the first computers models that company made (or was that the Apple II?).  I loved it!  Then I owned an Apple G--something? Then came the brightly colored Apple IMac, the one that sported a pregnant look. In between, I've had my share of PCs. Let's just say I'm glad I've gone back to Apple--hopefully it will restore my faith in technology!

No trips of significance this  weekend as I prepared self and bike for the upcoming Canada trip this week. Jesse sports new Givi side bags, BMW top case, frame sliders, and some pretty wonderful vario levers. I did a lot of aimless riding until the luggage felt weightless on the bike.  I'm looking forward to my first multi-day trip since getting the new bike. While away, I'm hoping to ride as much along Lake Erie as possible although I don't have time to do the full circle.  I still plan to circle Lake Huron sometime this summer.

Gosh, it feels good to be back online. Hopefully, I'll be spared the fear of a crash with each keystroke or click...knock on wood!

Lake Erie!?! When did this plan come together? I assume it is part of your ongoing Great Lakes Circle Tour, but we haven't heard anything about this trip. What about the Underground Railroad Tour?

Brent

PS I take off tomorrow for three days of historical travel.

Brent, it's one of those posts that got caught in the black hole of failing technology! I'm actually going to Amherstburg, Ontario where there is national black museum dedicated to the underground RR, where many escaping the states landed. Then I'm heading to Colchester, ON and because all this is on the lake, I thought I'd go around the southern part of Erie as much as possible.

The Underground RR tour in OH is STILL on the books and I'm totally looking foward to that! Then before the summer ends, I'm back in OH for the Lake Huron Circle Tour.

Good luck on your trip. Looking forward to reading all about it.

Ride safe.

Welcome back to Mac! Won't evangelize ... just surprised that an early apple user would be lured to the "dark side". Safe journey to you, with flawless 'puter support almost assured.

Hi Art, thanks for the welcome! It is difficult to bite the hand that writes your checks--if you know what I mean. But I'm free now.

Hey Sharon...yeah technology has been the source of many a headache for me the last few years. It's crept its ugly head into so many aspects of our lives....including motorcycles! I am having issues right now as a matter of fact. I thought making a change to my Blog would bring back a little renued interest. Only to find out, as always, its much harder then its made out to be!. I don't know what i'll do at the moment....this stress comes at the worst time in my work year. Hey good luck with the trips! I'm looking forward to reading all about it.-Crusty
