It's one of many jackets I wear and when it comes to rain I go with what I know works--my FirstGear Kilimanjaro. However, as you know, the Tourmaster is supposed to be water proof. Give it a try and let me know!Sojourner's Moto Taleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02235661849993752840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32557834.post-16411362540212726012007-06-28T09:26:00.000-05:002007-06-28T09:26:00.000-05:00I'm curious to know how the Tourmaster transition ...I'm curious to know how the Tourmaster transition jacket did in the rain. I haven't done much rain riding but I might get an opportunity this weekend! Nice pics from the bike show. Its always fun to see all the different bikes ( and their riders!) hanging. The biggest biker event I went to was the Honda Hoot in Knoxville last year.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32557834.post-43450693557802709092007-06-21T08:40:00.000-05:002007-06-21T08:40:00.000-05:00Brent, I'm heading off tomorrow to the first woman...Brent, I'm heading off tomorrow to the first woman's bike rally in Galena, IL. Tons of opportunities for me to "try" small to large group rides--or just go it alone.

I'm so looking forward to receiving my August issue of RR!!Sojourner's Moto Taleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02235661849993752840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32557834.post-30393377943557429062007-06-21T07:31:00.000-05:002007-06-21T07:31:00.000-05:00Sharon, like you, I prefer not to ride in groups, ...Sharon, like you, I prefer not to ride in groups, but there are occasions like a small-group dinner ride that can be enjoyable.

There is a difference in getting caught in the rain, and being prepared to ride in the rain. I always carry rain gear in my saddle bag. Of my three jackets, only the mesh requires putting on the rain jacket.

The August issue of Road Runner--now hitting news stands--has a few details of my 1,100-mile ride, 300 of it in the rain. Read my story, "Beside the Big Muddy."--DBrentAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
