I've been feeling better, really better, since Jan 2. Belated, Happy New Year to you.Sojourner's Moto Taleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02235661849993752840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32557834.post-16972670267994151872009-01-14T09:27:00.000-06:002009-01-14T09:27:00.000-06:00Earl, you are telling me truths that I've now hear...Earl, you are telling me truths that I've now heard from others. Thanks for more confirmation. I'm battling impatience! I appreciate your insights and I'm trying to be patient. I know that I'll heal but dang, this is taking longer than I thought. I've got to work on patience. Your comment about the pain when you breath fits exactly how I felt early on! Still, I'll get an occasional reminder of that period. Thanks, Earl!Sojourner's Moto Taleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02235661849993752840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32557834.post-78605485307776504422009-01-14T09:24:00.000-06:002009-01-14T09:24:00.000-06:00Jack, sorry for the late response. I've been pushing it a little and paying the price! So, I'm trying to be better, trying to be more patient.

As I told you elsewhere, I plan to attend the rally this year. We shall meet. By then, I hope that we are both whole or at least so close to our goals that we can taste it. Thanks for hanging in here with me. I wish you some relief for your ailment...sending you good vibrations.Sojourner's Moto Taleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02235661849993752840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32557834.post-3786725986120249862009-01-05T17:38:00.000-06:002009-01-05T17:38:00.000-06:00Sharon:I'm glad you are on the mend and in good sp...Sharon:

I'm glad you are on the mend and in good spirits. Hope you had a fantastic holiday season and looking forward to a better 2009.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05258612401956399482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32557834.post-48850865019807705222009-01-03T10:59:00.000-06:002009-01-03T10:59:00.000-06:00During my youth, I seemed to be perpetually injure...During my youth, I seemed to be perpetually injured in some respect due to my cavalier attitude and inability to turn away from a dare (I still struggle with an effective counter to the "Triple dog dare!").

My most uncomfortable experience, if you want to call it an "experience", was a rib injury that I had acquired from a water skiing adventure (water is really hard at 45 m.p.h.). The doctor said that it would take 2 to 3 weeks to heal, it was more like all summer.

The only comfort I recieved from that injury was that the pain was excruciating only when I would breathe.........or thought about breathing.

It's good to read that you are on the road to recovery.

Here's wishing you a safe and healthy 2009.

Ride Well

E.T.Stephenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07081927514870722367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32557834.post-88632598461806991162009-01-02T18:41:00.000-06:002009-01-02T18:41:00.000-06:00Dear Sharon:Your most recent post cheered me right...Dear Sharon:

Your most recent post cheered me right up today. I'm delighted that your injuries are showing progress of healing and getting stronger. When I slammed my ribs, the doctor told me that they would hurt for ten days. They hurt for three/four months. And mine weren't broken. My friend Dick Bregstein's ribs hurt for close to five months. He broke 6 ribs in two places.

I once lived in a city the depressed me every day of my life. It wasn't just one particular aspect of the city, but a number of things that conspired to drive me crazy. I found a great cure. I moved. I moved 400 miles away to another environment all together, and never looked back.

You would be surprised at how good you feel in Small Town, USA, where everything is a prop for a Norman Rockwell painting.

My arthritis is killing me and keeping me from riding. So is my weight. Time to deal with both.
The MOA Rally this year is in Gray, Tennessee. You should come. I will be there with my club. It would give us a great chance to ride together. I look forward to correcting all your bad riding habits.

Happy New Year!
Fat Jack
Twisted RoadsJack Riepehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07531160098262862027noreply@blogger.com
